Busines Foreign Exchange - any recommendations?
Discussion
I'm just about to pay a supplier in the US a large amount of money and was pondering using one of the many specialist Foreign Exchange companies advertising on the web. It's a six figure sum so I'm figuring the saving over using our bank could well be worth it. Has anyone used a company they'd recommend?
Who do you bank with? We've been quite impressed with Barclays, reasonable sized sums exchanged from US and Australian dollars to GBP for £7/month/market (seven figures annually) - I'd imagine you'd see the same figures converting the other way.
Banks aren't too bad at this kind of thing - ring and butter up your account manager tomorrow. Mention how you are tempted to use someone else for your considerable overseas business, and they may well bite!
ETA - double-check the exchange rates.

Banks are still much dearer than the specialists, but many of the specialists can be a little 'wide'.Feel free to PM me if you'd like a contact for a proper quote.
