We are looking at setting up a system that will enable us to take card payments from our customers. We used to have a Streamline machine/account but not using it everyday, as it was being used in a shop, it become an expensive commodity to use only maybe once or twice a month.

Does any one have any ideas on other ways to do the tranactions ie online types, actual machine types etc that would suit our limited use and not cost a fortune each month to be barely used?

Thanks in advance

You could use Protx, we do.

It's a web based card terminal system that costs £10 plus VAT a month on top for your Streamline card charges.

Just Google Protx.

You could also join the FSB (Federation of Small Business) and get their discounted card processing rates.
