We’re producing a piece of direct marketing for a client. It’s to sell three new types of eco-friendly light bulbs replacing standard halogen spots: a 4w (replacing 20w) and two versions of a 6.5w (replacing 40w).

We’re producing a max of 100 boxes to send to trade buyers. Each box will contain one each of the three bulbs. What we’d like to do is have the bulbs light up when you open the lid of the box.

It can’t weigh loads and the power source needs to be self contained.

So, is this feasible?

LED?

It's possible but could be costly unless there's some std kit to do the trick. Do you have a budget in mind?

Not really. Total budget is £7k - £9k but that needs to include design, packaging and post!

It might just be possible to do the trick, zinc air battery and an inverter. Would need quite a lot of work to ensure its safe, probably way beyond budget.
