Hi, I'm in the process of setting up a new company with a friend, to start with it's just going to be a trading name of his existing buisness until we see if it works. Now my question is regarding headed paper, I assume somewhere we need to write ABC Co Ltd trading as New Project idea? And if so can it be really tiny at the bottom? Many thanks.

'Proper' headed paper needs the company's registered address and company number. Paul R said:
Yes, thank you. My question is more to do with making known that the company is a trading name of an existing company (the one with the reg no etc). Can it be left out? (Which I doubt) and can be so small that an ant would have trouble reding it?
Well, if the company you are operating is simply a trading name of the Ltd company, then it will need to declare the whole 'thing', i.e. Sensible Ltd, T/A Silly Blokes, as the company details will be for Sensible Ltd.Clearly legible.
If the directors of the Ltd company are worried about this new trading arm's antics, just grab an off-the-shelf Ltd company or run it in a self-employed capacity.
