Been trying to search for the new rules concerning pick up trucks and commercial use etc.

I need to buy another commercial vehicle for my business but I don't fancy driving a van and a truck would come in very handy for the off road use when I go fishing and shooting.

I did hear you can no longer run one under the business as it now attracts co. car tax (I need a double cab one) unless you can prove you regularly carry one tonne loads etc. Being an IT company I can safely say I don't although sometimes I carry a scaffold tower etc.

Does anyone know what the rules are now, google search just seems to bring up loads of outdated info.

There are no laws banning the use of a "car" type double cab pick-up in your business. However, if it is a "car" rather than a commercial vehicle, it will be subject to the Benefit in Kind rules and Capital Allowance rules that relate to cars rather than Plant and Machinery.
