recycling ... for offices
Discussion
We are in the packaging industry so recycling is part and parcel of the production process, but we are looking at how we can recycle as offices.
Specifically looking at paper, are there schemes, companies etc who will pick up shredded and non-shredded paper and recycle it?
We could go the dump or local recycling place, but would be easy if we had marked bins for recycling which someone then came and picked up?

We use Reisswolf http://www.reisswolf.co.uk/ Who pick up our confidential wpaper for shredding (which they cahrge for - but not much) and pick up non confidential paper at the same time which doesn't need shredding F.O.C. as long as there is not more non confidential than confidential, they are happy to take at the same time.

They definitely exist. I know of two up here. My old school used a recycling company who provided carboard bins and mail sacks for recyclable paper in each classroom. All the sacks get taken to janitor and the company would then pick it up and take it away. One of my clients use another company who provide wheelie bins with a slot in the top to put paper through. They come with a small lock to prevent the top opening unintentionally and the wind blowing paper everywhere.Specifically looking at paper, are there schemes, companies etc who will pick up shredded and non-shredded paper and recycle it?

Unfortunately I don't know who provides these services and whether they're in your area. However there should be something listed in Yellow Pages. Failing that, speak to whoever is in charge of recycling at your local Council. Even if they only deal with residential recyling, I would expect them to be aware of companies providing it for businesses in the local area.
