I have a cash ISA that was in a three-year thingy (bond?) and time's up. Hence I need to move it to a new ISA and want to stay out of equities. I'm looking for a top rate of interest (gross of course) but with no strings, eg I don't want to have to open an account with anyone specially.

IFA has suggested:
Manchester Building Society for the ISA at 6.5% fixed.
Alliance and Leicester esaver offers 6.41% gross.

Media has mentioned:
Nat West Cash ISA 7.2% APR
ICICI Fixed rate bond 7.7%

So I'm a bit confused and am open to ideas please!

Thanks; I actually like the Manchester BS one as I see all the 'good' ones are only for a short time, then you have to fart about again.

Isn't now a good time to buy equities?
