PayPal buttons...

[nick_j007]

Hi all,

Nearly given up looking.

Is it possible to paste in a button to my site that says 'Pay Now' and then the customer puts in the amount we agreed via telephone or email for example?

I think the answer is 'No', as it wants me to insert a set amount or a drop down box with a few options.

If you can tell me otherwsie and offer a link to that buttons design facility I'd be very grateful!

Thank you.

Nick

You can insert a PayPal button through HTML tags. You have to preset the price when creating the code / button.

If that price varies ie agreed on the phone, then obvioulsy the button wont know what price you have just agreed.

So either have set prices / buttons or allow the customer to input the amount.

In the past I have created a special password protected page specifically for a customer and created a custom button for the amount to be paid.
Alternatively you can just e-mail the PayPal invoice?

Can't you pass the price through a variable in the URL?

Any use?

I've used companies before where they create a paypal button for the specific order, as agreed on the phone. They then *email* the button to you so that you can push it and pay for the goods.

Do you specifically want to use PayPal for this? From memory it's possible, but I do the exact same thing only using NOCHEX as the payment provider:
