Accounts/Corp Tax filing question
Discussion
It seems my accountant has submitted the accounts to Companies House but not sent the corporation tax return to HMRC.
They have my web details for PAYE etc, so they are set up on the HMRC system, and are my "agent" for HMRC so get a copy of all letters.
Should this normally form part of the "end of year" process? I'm now £100 down thanks to a nice letter from Co House today and need to know whether to shout at them or not.

There are different accounts filing deadline dates for Companies House and the Revenue.
Companies House has a filing date for the accounts TEN months after the end of the financial year end date.
HMRC have a filing date (for the accounts and tax return) of TWELVE months after the finnacial year end date.
HMRC also have a NINE month PAYMENT date for the paying of the Corporation Tax liability (if there is one).
For companies with financial years ended after 30 April 2008, the Companies House filing date is now going to be NINE months from the end of the financial year.
Thois is one of the changes introduced in the 2006 Companies Act.
