Foreign Exchange - best rates?

As an ordinary punter who gives will give me the best rates for dollars into sterling? I don't have barrow-loads but is is several hundred...so keen to get the best deal as it will make a bit of a difference.

Ans yes I am watching the currency movements, but how much lower can sterling sink?

DO M&S do exchange in their shops or is this only online?

Bloody rate cut yesterday meant i've already lost out as sterling climbed a bit....hope we cut our own rates next week by half a percent and it comes back down again.
