I am looking for a low cost, low volume credit card service for our AV Sales.

Any ideas?

V.

Just started using Google Checkout as all of a sudden getting asked to accept credit cards.

1.5% + 15p

And you get to offset the transaction costs against your adwords spend.

Thanks Plotty,

Well worth a look at those rates.

Are you around Tuesday afternoon? As I am down your way.

Anyone else got ideas?

V.

1.4% avail from Paypal for high enough turnover +55k per month

1.5 % GC as Matt has said

1.3% on CC's and 25p per debit card trans should be easy on Cardnet just add protx for £20 a month.

lots of options in this market

Join the Federation of Small Businesses, then sign up for Streamline. The FSB discounts Streamline give are surprisingly large.

Then you'll need something like Protx (my preferred) or Worldpay to front it.

Sorry, slight miss type / understanding.

I don't want to integrate payments into our website, I just want the ability to take credit card transactions. Preferably on the web 'cause then I don't need a PDQ machine.

See above. Protx have a Virtual Terminal and all you need is a MOTO account from Streamline.

Been looking into the Google Checkout more and I can raise a invoice within their system,

Email it to a client.

They log in on a direct button on the invoice / quote.

Pay the invoice amount.

I get the payment and then go and install the system.

All for 1.5% and no monthly fees.

Thanks for the advice.

You can, dont expect the first payment to be quick though.

If its over a certain amount you've got to comply with the EU money laundering regs.

Its a good system but you can see how it works, they cream interest off cash on deposit.
