Chaps and Chapesses,

Is there a way to find out which firm of administrators has taken over the running of a company without ringing the company in question?

A local land company has just gone bust and I want to buy one of their sites.

Thanks

1. Use companies house web check service http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/5270a77d85610ceb...

2. Search company name or number

3. Click on Insolvency History

4. Read and or copy Administrators details

5. Job done.

Thanks James - that's exactly what I needed. Appreciate the prompt response.

(Although the company I'm after doesn't appear to have been updated yet).

You are welcome, it may take a while for the info to show up on Companies house. Do you know anybody that is owed money by the company? if so ask them to ring up and chase payment, they will be told "we are in administration" and should provide the Administrators details.

Accountant in Bankruptcy keeps a record of insolvencies in Scotland, I'd assume there's a similar body and register south of the border too.

More excellent there - all much appreciated.

It's quarterly Rent pay day today for many retail shops so expect some further companies going to the wall this week.....
