Vietnam - Any PH'ers looking there rather than China?

20 years ago, we were among the first in our industry to have products made in China. Now the new labour laws and minimum wage etc. have come in, that is looking like a slightly less cheap source of products.

So we've decided to look at Vietnam - The infrastructure seems to be in place, the cultural differences are less than with China and most seem to speak French as a second language (French is easier to learn than Chinese!).

Having done very well out of 20 years in China, we're aiming to repeat the process again in Vietnam.

Is anyone else here thinking the same?

We've had a look at it but so far haven't done anything about it. Also considered Thailand. For now they couldn't supply the quality we wanted (bit like China a few years back).
