Company A is going to be starting on May 1st 2010 - Whilst this happens, Employees Mr. A, B, C and D are all working at Company Z.

If company A gets some bookings they would obviously like to undertake such work without leaving company Z.

Who should leave "Z" to look after "A".

This may seem a bit restricted and company "A" obviously doesn't want to turn down work but this may only be a months worth of bookings whilst they would have 3 months of guaranteed income.

How did you start your transition from being an employee to self employed? A lot of time without money etc.

Help Appreciated.

By doing it "on the side" ?

Between you, can you handle the job during a weekend or evening? It's a small sacrifice to make for a couple of months if it leads to full time work.

Yes, that isnt a problem unless the company runs 9-5pm which is what we work, hence the problem

Not possible to get a 'caretaker' in? A spouse, or an unemployed friend?

Hadn't thought about that.
