new Small claims court case- does it matter which location?

Hi,

will shortly be taking an ex-landlord to court over stolen deposit etc, the house in question was in central manchester, she lives in south manchester but I am now back in yorkshire.

Can I file in my local court or does it have to be manchester? (prefer to do physical rather than online method).

Your home court.

They might ask for it to be moved to their home court, but if they don't then they need to come to you.
