Exchanging £ to Euro

Hi

My partner keeps needing to change £5k - £20k into Euros for Spain. She has just been doing it through her bank accounts HSBC to an account with a Spanish bank.

Is there a better way to do it so we can reduce the commission or improve on the exchange rates?

We use HiFX and Worldwide Currencies for moving currencies, both good and quick and competitive. Always get a couple of quotes, and bear in mind any charges for moving money between accounts, for small amounts your retail bank can be better or quicker and only a few tens of pounds more expensive once all costs are taken into account.

I use SGMFX, i have been stung in the past and at least these guys are SFA regulated which most aren't
