Any furniture movers out there?
Discussion
Hiya,
I need some furniture moved:
Two units: Width 72 cm x Depth 38cm x Height 218 cm
One unit: Width 107 cm x Depth 60cm x Height 218 cm
From an address in DY6 to RG31, ideally on Saturday but I can probably be a bit flexible as long as you can do weekends... You'll need two people to load and unload. As far as I know there are no stairs involved at the pickup end, at the dropoff end there are a couple of steps up to the house but that's it.
So would anyone with a van like a job? I'm happy to pay the going rate, obviously.

thats always cheaper...
but then so is servicing and changing the cambelt your own car yourself
i would never attempt to change a cambelt but to compare that to moving furniture is rather silly.i am sure you can come up with examples but you will not persuade me it is that difficult.but then so is servicing and changing the cambelt your own car yourself
no disrespect. you have a business to run. but its not that hard to move a couple of pieces of furniture.
whichever way you slice it
got brother to move me stuff to a flat several years ago, showed that I was not as fit as thought I was, got 3 quotes,
2 quotes from blokes in jeans and who would drive onto the grass to load up
last was about £300 from some guy in a suit who pointed out that a loaded van might have problems getting off the grass, came across as a pro, so gor the job, did not have to do much and they were really good

paying a couple of guys to move the contents of my house from one place to another and not break anything is worth it, not everyone hoards their boxes for all their kit in the loft, assuming you have a loft, friend made a mistake with his tv and got a nice hole punched in the centre, understand that it cost a lot more than £300 to replace
