magazine advertisement design

We are looking for our magazine advert to be designed.

1/2 page advertisement.

We will provide text and images.

To give you a brief background, I've been designing adverts for 7 magazine titles for over 10 years. This is the kind of work I do every day, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I'm not too bothered about the money, if you like what I do, just sort me out with a few beer tokens!

Yea thanks, I do enjoy my work. I also don't feel the need to charge £££'s to a fellow PHer, for a job that should only cost ££'s.

Fair enough, I was only being devils advocate here.

Just out of curiosity though, how much time would a professional graphic designer take to do a thorough proper job of a 1/2 page magazine advert (with consultation, revisions, stock images,proofs etc)?

I work with alot of highly rated graphic design agencies and I'm sure they would be looking at (at a rough guess) 4 hours at anything from £50 - £100 p/h, so perhaps £200 - £400 for a job like this - is that not the going rate?

So as a 'homer' with little or no overheads, perhaps half that (£100 - £200) for your time and efforts would be normal?
