LCD headrest screens required

I need a price for 28 headrest screens that will display a sequence of images/adverts from a memory card. If that sequence can be updated over the internet (GPRS or whatever) that would be great too.

That's no issue. If you needed them next week, not so good, before freshers, easy.

GPRS updated ones aren't going to be easy to get (if at all), but screens are readily available from stock at most factories.

Do they have to be 'headrest' types? i.e. to fit in a car? Or is it 'picture frame' type screens? Battery powered or mains? (i.e. for exhibition or permanent use?)

Price, as always, depends on size, and quality. Good isn't cheap, cheap (generally) isn't good.

Smaller screens are peanuts now, but don't exactly catch the eye, larger (10 / 12" +) are a bit more expensive, but worth the investment depending where they're going to be situated.

Thanks for your reply.

GPRS updated ones do appear to be available, although that isn't essential. My only thought is that we are so busy it sometimes takes a few days to get round all the cars for updates on PDA's, mileage checks etc. I think it would just be convenient to buzz an advertising update out over the internet. It's not a great hardship to go and plug a usb stick into a headrest

I want them permanantly fitted to the cars, but do not want to mark the interior of the vehicle at all. A substitute headrest with a screen would be ideal. There is very little room to mount a screen elsewhere, and I think it is less likely to be damaged on a headrest than down near everyones feet!

7" I think would be fine... surely 12" odd would be too large for a headrest? The screens will be mounted slap bang in the passengers eyeline so I'm not too worried about 'catching their eye'

That makes more sense now!

I wasn't sure if you meant screens for advertising, or actual headrest screens.

12" would be a bit on the big side....

You can also get pull-down screens, but they can be a bit bulky for smaller cars, and are best in people carriers.

Prices aren't going to be the best at the moment because of £ / $ rates, but there are bargains to be had if you look hard.

They need to last five years, so quality without having to be HD, all singing - all dancing units. Think industrial quality rather than specification.

I'm getting prices back for 9" headrest screens, with USB / SD / speakers (don't have to use them) / 16:9 screen format, includes 2 x free pairs of IR headphones (bin them if you don't want them).

Have a natty little feature that will output the video from one screen to others in the car, so you'd only have to update the one screen in each car with the video.

No GPRS feature though I'm afraid.

Coming in at around £190 for a pair, including power supply, cables, etc.

Black, grey, beige available.

ETA - Forget that, they're coming in at about £133 a pair for the 9" model, £110 a pair for the 7" model.
