PAYE Scheme Reference - help please.... Erik ;-)

I'm applying for CIS through the online portal and am being asked for the following info:

1. Tax Office Number *
e.g. 012

2. Scheme Reference *
e.g. A246

3. Accounts Office Reference
e.g. 123PX1234567

1 & 3 are easy - 1 is the 3 numbers at teh start of my PAYE reference and 3 is self explanatory. However, I can't get the system to accept the Scheme reference.

Working from the PAYE reference e.g. 123ab4567890
I've tried:
123ab4567890
ab45
b456
I phoned the CIS helpline which advises they are busy and disconnects and when I did get through to someone, she told me to use the ab4567890 part which didn't work

What should I be using for this Scheme reference?

I think I had to put a zero at the beginning of the numbers, so try ab04567890.

Thanks. I tried that but still no joy. What a nightmare. Will try the phoneline again tomorrow!

Try putting the 123 bit first as well.
