Hi guys, I am moving to the UK in November and want to know if anyone on here has used a removalist they can recommend from Sydney to the UK? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Allied or Crown. Dealt with both when at P&O, they are consolidators and will pick, pack and deliver other side (part container load)

We moved from Oz to UK in June used King & Wilson Worldwide Moving, www.kingandwilson.com.au, T 9858 9088. They were quite reasonable and packed everything that we wanted even my big plasma TV, all arrived in perfect condition, found them to be most efficient. They are based in Sydney, not sure if they offer services outside Sydey area.

Bad news.

The UK and indeed the western world in general have long since decided we are sick of Aussies/Kiwi's. Just cause we laughed at Crocodile Dundee (the daft tax dodger) doesn't mean we actually want you here.

That's ok.

We're sick of economic refugees coming from the UK.

Sister used Wridgways for her move and said they were ok.

My brother has just used Pickfords to move from Sheffield to Santa Fe, they were excellent, all packed and transported on time with no hitches.
I must admit I was a bit weary of them as they had some bad press a while ago but they proved very slick.

If you are coming to Edinburgh we have a very active social scene in the Scotland forum.
In Edinburgh we have the Edinlush - drinks on the 3rd Thursday of every month
Also in Edinburgh we have Edineats - Meal in a restaurant. When some one wants to try a new or interesting restaurant

There are large organized car runs in the summer months. At least one a month to various locations through out Scotland March - October usually

In winter we carry on the drinking and meets but we organize the odd go karting meet as well.

Feel free to check out the forum for meets once you are here and poop along and introduce yourself to us all. We always welcome new people. biggrin

Have used Sterlings several times around the world, excelent service, and never had a single breakage (touch wood) any time.

They do full service including the pack and unpack, customs, and will even do 3 or 4 drips back to collect the empty boxes if you dont get around to / want to unpack everything on the day of arrival.

Edinlush & Edineats. Sounds great. I am really happy to hear there is an active seen there. Can't wait to get a cool car and come along. See you all soon!
