Clearing all text and email history iPhone

As per title the wife wants a totally cleared iPhone which I'm giving her.


So how do I clear all email history and texts basically wipe it of everything but keep all the songs?

Wrong forum but....put it back to 'restore factory settings' and then pop it back onto your PC and install what you want.....apps and tunes etc.

A fewhours of playing with the new iPhone and wow it's something else.

I've done side by side test 3Gv4G one took twenty seconds most a good 5~10 seconds.

You wanted to know how to remove all texts & emails?
You do know if you swipe left on a message, it'll bring up the Delete option?
Do that on the first level of messages, and it removes the entire conversation in one go.

Remove email details, and in an instant, all your emails go too.
That's done via Settings > Mail, Contacts, etc

No need to go wiping the phone entirely, and resync'ing, but if you right-click on the phone name in iTunes' left hand panel, you can rename it, to differentiate between the two, if both connect at the same time.

Sorry to HiJackthsi thread, but it's hardly worth starting a new one. I am just about to upgrade my 3GS to an iPhone 4. Can Mrs Gaspode put her Vodafone PAYG sim in it and use it for calls and texts? She has no interest in any of the other smartphone functions, but she would quite like the music to be available.

Provided the phone is unlocked or if your both same carrier then it doesn't need to be unlocked.

Were both O2 so no issue about unblocking and O2 will certainly unblock it.
