A friend is experiencing problems using E Bay.

When visiting the site, his pooter usually crashes and tells him that the program has performed an illegal operation.

He then gets a message telling him that there is an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL and then some gobbledigook.

It is driving him mad.

Is there anything he can do to cure this glitch, which only occurs when visiting E Bay.

Cheers

Pat

sounds like some dodgy spy ware might be causing this. Install Ad-aware and get the PC cleaned up - might help...

Could also be down to faulty RAM. Just as a check get your friend to pop the RAM out and re-install it. Make sure he grounds himself, easiest way is to leave the power cord in the poweer supply and switch the plug off at the wall leaving it plugged in. It may be a tarnished connection. He may wish to download SiSoft SANDRA to check the memory.
