Hi,

My boss has asked me to create some diagrams of our network structure across the globe.

I need to create various diagrams for him including:

Organisatinal - High Level
Site - Individual Sites/Offices
DNS
Domain Controllers
Etc Etc

How do I do this?? Been reading up on Visio and AD and I can see that I can import data from the AD database into Visio. But I have no idea what needs to be done for this to take place.
I need to find out exactly what I need to do so that I can get the correct access rights to create the diagrams.

Thanks in advance.

Phill

Can't remember how to do this but will see if I can find a link.

The real scary bit is you can change it in visio and then write it back to AD. Ohh the fun you can have with drag and oops where did I put that OU.

Just been looking at this. It appears that you can't do what I want to do in Visio 2003 as Microsoft have taken out the "Auto Detect" function. So the options are either buy their recommended 3rd party plug in or go back to Visio 2000/02
