White wallpaper after spyware attack

Hi

Had a spyware attack last week which left me with a white wallpaper that I cannot get rid off. If I right click on the wallpaper I do not get the display properties but properties of a html file. I can change the wallpaper in Control Panel but you cannot see the change as the white wallpaper is covering it. I've cleaned any viruses but still the same.

Any ideas? BTW its XP home edition.

Make sure it isn't displaying a web page over the top over your wallpaper (Display Properties/Desktop/Customize Desktop/Web).
