maybe this is more computer games not sure really, it is a techie question

there are two options for 600k broadband with ntl at the moment. one is pc only and the other slightly more expensive is pc and console. the pc and console allows you surprisingly to run both pc and console at the same time as you are provided with a second ip address for the console.

if i only want to connect either the pc or the console at a time can i just have the cheaper pc based option and then plug in the play station as and when i want to use it? any one on here done this?

Why not just spend forty quid on a router? Then you only need the single IP address. I have 4 PCs using a single cable broadband connection at home, and ten PCs on a single ADSL connection at work.
