Does anyone know a way to get Hotmail working via POP3 to Outlook, rather than the default HTTP? I am having problems with the connection timing out if anyone sends me a large file (>150k). There was something in the paper at the weekend about adjusting the timeout to stop this from happening, but this does not work for http settings, and so I am still stuck with this.

HELP, please.

I use Outlook Express to access Hotmail and have downloaded large attachments without any timeout problems. Maybe it depends on the speed of the link though. I've been looking for a free Hotmail antispam solution, so far the best I've found seems to be SpamPal but this doesn;t support HTTP mail directly. This has lead me to Hotmail Popper, a POP-to-HTTP relay that lets you access Hotmail using a POP mail client. Popper isn't free so I'm still looking for the free antispam solution (any suggestions guys?) but might be one way to solve your timeout problem?
