Office 2003 Contact Manager
Discussion
I'm using it. I found Act and Goldmine far to complicated for my needs. All I want is to record my contact with my customers and suppliers and I find that Outlook 2003 Business Contact Manager does it just fine. Still early days yet but I am reasonably pleased with it and I will certainly persist with it - especially as it was effectively free!
Ted...
It's a bit rudimentary compared to ACT and Goldmine (we use ACT because I have branch sales offices and we use the ACT web thingy so they can log in remotely), but it is a good package. Integration ease with other office products (word, excel, access) has to be one of it's better features...
...A sales management system it most certainly isn't but it would be good for setting up an invoicing or general task/contact management style system. Any automated processes or other such stuff could probably be accomplished via VB I'd imagine (mass emails to vendors, etc)
