In car phone dialling on Iphone 4S for complete technophobe!

Siri will call people from your phone book, read out new messages and compose messages by speech, but I don't think it dials numbers. Siri works great over Bluetooth in my BMW.
EDIT: Just tried asking it to dial a number, it works. Just hold down the home button and tell it to do stuff! Buy a Bluetooth stereo, should all work great together. See if you can get one that supports playing music from the iPhone as well.

That's my point though- you're not going to (legally) be wanting to do that on the M1? Can you not just say the name without pressing a button either or the phone or the radio?sat1983 said:

That would be awesome. Imaging just chatting to someone in the car, and you mention a friend, and the phone starts dialing... I have the phone connected to the car via Bluetooth. Just read the manual of your new stereo which will tell you how to pair it. Then it automatically connects each time you get in the car. Then whenever you hold down home to activate Siri, the sound will come out of the car speakers automatically.
I also have the phone connected via an iPod input to listen to music from it in the car. If I get a call, or if I activate Siri, it pauses the song for me and the call comes out through the car speakers. In essence, it's connected to the car twice, but it all works really well together.

But then voice dialling is essentially useless as you can't legally hold a phone in your hand whilst driving.

I have a Brodit pass through cradle with a lead going to my Dice iPod input device for music. Phone wise, it's connected by Bluetooth.

I don't see why a holder can't be used, and just push the button, as you would on a stereo unit, or the rear demisters.

On my Aston, holding down the phone dial button on the steering wheel triggers Siri on the phone. Doesn't work on the range rover.
