As we've had to switch to PC, we have some excellent Mac G3 lap tops that
we are going to clear out.

Before selling, is it better to delete and reinstall the operating system for security,
or will simply wiping programs be enough?

I would delete and re-install if I were you. Much safer.

How much for one of the old laptops?

Thanks

Cost me about 2k each about 4 years ago.
I was going to stick them on eBay and set the ball rolling at £200 on each.

Just need to gather all the discs / manuals / bits and bobs over the weekend.

Would they be any good for a universtiy student doing grpahic art type work? We have been told they are better than PC's for this type of work.
I don't use ebay, if you start them at £200 what would you realisticly expect to get?

One says:
14.1TFT/233MHz-512k/32MB/2GB HD/4MB Video/CD/Modem

The other says:
333MHz/512k Cache/64MB/4GB HD/8MB Video/CD

I've not even looked to see what they might be worth yet, one is like new - only used
in the office.

Been on the shelf for 2 of the 4 years unused.

Given how easy it is to install Mac OS, i'd say wipe and reinstall.
