Is there a site you can send texts to mobiles from for free?

Most of the big portals, e.g. Tiscali used to allow you to do it.. Not tried in ages I'm afraid..

ICQ used to let you do it, you could also text an ICQ account from a mobile for free. I don't think it works any more though.
