3 COM Office Firewall 25 Access Problems

I've got a 3c16770 firewall, I've re loaded the firmware,(infact three different versions) and whatever I do it won't recognise the default password of User: admin Password: password.

I've tried every password and user name it's ever had and other common ones and I'm now stuck. Any thoughts...

It's outside warrenty etc so no 3com support direct(and they are closed)

off all

search puter and registry for any sign and delete

re load software

I assume you are trying to access it from the internal LAN port - as it will never let you do this from the WAN side - I have the same firewall

No option but to try and speak to 3com. Yes I am accessing it from the lan port. It's got the firmware loaded and should use the default password of password and user admin, but it won't let me in.

Yep, about 10 times including is version of firmware ever realeased. It uploads fine but retains some unknown password rather than resetting the password to the default.

Going to talk to them now....

that's the 2.0 version. You'll need the newer 2.4 one to be sure....
