How is it that EVERY single domain name I can EVER think of has been taken (.com)???? I mean, really?!? Even if I typed in a random load of keystrokes you can guarantee that somebody has registered it!

I know for a fact that www.scimitar.com is available - a friend who owns three thought about buying it recently and then got cold feet...

This ia a common occurence.

those who had some nouse back in the day reg'd alot of decent names... just for this purpose.

there are always new TLDs coming out.. .PRO recently.

BUT, if you want a good .com / .co.uk they are harder to find..

THO, i did grab a few nice ones recently.. so its not ALL bad..
just about being lucky and persistant.

Should still be plenty of .tv domains available which wouldn't be inappropriate for you I guess.

I didn't realise that se6b was into cross-dressing. You learn something new every day.

Yeah, there are plenty of .TV's but ideally I want a .com .....its a snobby industry what can I say? You even have to have the 'right' mobile number prefix!

www.register1.net

we have a system whereby you type in the domain you want, and it searches the most common TLDs AND for domains LIKE yours...

Not any more. But is available for anyone who wants to make me an offer.

(Only joking. If it has gone by now then it wasn't me.)

I was amazed to get chevroletls1.com but it got me a lot of US traffic which isn't a lot of use to me. A dot co.uk address tells people you are in the UK and not the US. Is the dot com suffix really all that important?

Your are searching for them via typing them directly into your browser using an internet connection that doesn't go through a proxy?
