stopping spam phone calls - registration website?

Folks, I'm vaguely aware that a website exists whereby you can enter your home phone number to stop spam phone calls. Must be government backed, as apparently if your number is registered then companies are barred from calling you with spam.

I've been off this week and have been astonished by the number of calls I've received for double glazing, holidays, conservatories etc. It's driving me up the wall.

Does anyone know the URL of said website?

TPS and the fax equivalent the FPS only work for honest companies who abide by the law.
My bugbear was 192.com which rang at 1.00am. Nothing I could do would stop it, so the FPS passed the case to the Data Commissioner. I was asked to send the faxes to them as evidence in a prosecution and did so. The faxes stopped, and I hope the bastards who wake people up in the middle of the night are all dead. Hurrah!

Since they can be fined £5K for each and every call, they generally do.
