Simple keyboard problem

I am not an expert in computers and have made a bit of an error when setting up my new laptop HP NX9110.

When I press the @ key I get " and vice versa. I have searched through the manual online and offline and cant work out how to correct it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Change the keyboard profile in Windows from US to UK...
