I've been using PayPal happily (though the fees add up) - and have just encountered a seller who only takes NoChex. Briefly, what's the difference please?

IIRC, NoChex is UK based and owned, PayPal is eBay owned.

Plus, the spelling's different.

I wouldn't touch PayPal with a long pole. They're likely breaking US banking laws by operating as a bank without registering as one, and they have a very poor reputation for sequestering people's funds for no good reason and then refusing to talk to them about it.

IIRC, NoChex are part of NatWest.

FastPay, not NoChex, is part of NatWest.

I have NoChex, FastPay and PayPal accounts and offer my buyers these as payment options in my auctions.

To date, no-one has ever chosen to pay by NoChex or FastPay and either use PayPal or send a cheque.

Having said that, I don't sell that regularly - maybe 30 or 40 auctions to date over the past year or two.
