Ok, firstly, i'm not a techy IT type of person, so any help, please respond in very simple idiot proof terms !.
For a long time now i've been getting occasional emails from "MAILER-DAEMON@yahoo.com", with the subject as "Failure notice". Somehow this seemed to connect to my contacts box and send everyone in it, similar or strange mails. I ended up deleting my entire contact-box, doing frequent full Norton system scans, and even deleting every contact directly after sending any mails to them. The problem seemed to go away.
It's now back with avengence, and over one evening recently I received over 250 emails from MAILER-DAEMON@yahoo.com, even though my contact-box was empty, and a recent full system scan had been done. Additionally, while running a full Norton system scan I clocked up over 60 similar mails while running the scan.
Obviously I'm getting pretty pi**ed-off with this, and have no idea what to do about it or how to get it stopped.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

That usually means someone is sending spam and they use your address as the "reply to", so if one doesn't get though, it'll be sent back to you (as spammers hate just getting loads of emails)

So, does this mean I need to change my email address, or is there a less painful way of getting around this ?.

just mark it as spam so it doesn't appear in your inbox or make a filter for it to go directly to trash

Can you see lots of junk emails in your SENT items? Change your email password for good measure!
