right had enough of buggered server

its set up so theres 2 mirrored disks which is c drive and 4 raid 5 disks that is d drive.

all the interesting stuff is on d in terms of users data etc. c just has system files.

if i attempt to reinstall windows on c drive will it bugger up d in any way. if it goes wrong and i have to do a fresh install on cdrive will it bugger up d in any way? will it mess up the raid or will it all detect everything and be lurvely?

basically dont care if c has to be wiped i just dont want anything on d to be touched or lost?

Given the Raid will report them to the system as 2 different, unique, physical disks, a reinstall of the first (c shouldnt have any affect on the second (d

the only times you might get an issue is for Raid Driver installation (but given you will need these to get the first one working anyway, assuming they are both fed of the same raid card)

In short, no, it wont be an issue at all, I have done this many times over.

Enjoy
