Looking for a small camera to monitor my front door, as I often leave parcels outside to be collected by couriers. Ideal features would be small, wireless, and motion sensitive, does not have to be waterproof. Any ideas?

To be honest, they arent the best in the world, but try Maplins. Go to a store and have a chat with someone there, they do a load of different things. There are so many things you can do and buy, some cheap and some expensive. I wouldnt do wireless as they often interfere with normal WiFi if you arent careful and the quality is a bit crap too. I would go fixed wired and fit it where it cant be seen / broken. So usually high up and hence its starting to get expensive. Webcams are not up to the task, other than for a bit of fun.

I bought a couple of these

I expect there's a newer version of the same product.

They used to have a demo camera set up if you check out the foscam website. It'll give you an idea on the quality you get.

You can set them up to do motion sensitivity and email you pictures of what it picks up, but I've not so can't comment on how useful it is.

Night vision works great.

Avoid the white cameras because when you tilt it towards the base, it just flairs up and saturates the picture.

The one I have in the house is great. I can pan it around remotely to see both the front and back door. I might have rebooted it 2 or 3 times in a year, but I don't know if that's because I messed with my network too much (I like to break things) or the device itself was causing the problem.

The one I tried to put in the garage couldn't get a wireless connection to my router through a couple walls. By comparison my iphone easily gets a wireless connection through my car and a couple walls. As I've given up with this one, I was gonna put it in an upstairs window to get a view of the front of my drive, but I've not gotten that far yet so don't know if it works well through glass (in terms of night vision and motion sensitivity)

I've used the foscams in a number of different instances - pretty decent for the price, but didn't attempt to use wireless so can't comment on that performance.

I've got a couple of these [url]Storage Options branded cameras|http://www.ebuyer.com/244307-storage-options-night-and-day-ip-camera-son-ipc1[\url]. They keep an eye on a remote office in Sri Lanka and I was really really impressed by the quality of the images and the build quality isn't too bad either. I'm not sure what the deal with recording with them is but the remote viewing software is pretty good. There is also a lot of apps on both android and ios which allow you to view remotely and even drag the camera around with your finger.

The night vision is pretty impressive too.
