A bad outlook!
Discussion
Firstly, I have updated and ran my anti virus and also ran a spybot.
A couple of days ago, my Outlook Express decided to cease working.
when I open the program, it disconnects me rom the internet (broadband) and the dial up box appears. No matter what I do, it will not reconnect.
Whats going on?
Or better still, can anyone recommend a good (free) email program?
Cheers MrF

Is OE attempting to initiate it's own dialup?
There should be a tick box in tools--> options --> connections to allow OE to warn before switching dial-up connections.
Might be worth ticking that and seeing what happens..
there are many many different free email apps, have a google for the likes of Incredimail, Eudora (think it's still free) and the old favourite Netscape (has mail included)

Open outlook express. Let it disconnect you. Ignore any dodgy error messages until it shows your inbox. Click tools accounts then goto mail tab. Look at your settings for your mail account and it should have a connections tab set this to any available. not just dial a connection. Ok back out. Look in tools options "cant remember which tab" words something like disconnect if need to change dialup connection.
