Everytime I print something thru Word, I get the aforementioned message, have to click OK and then it prints. Which is normally fine, only I'm sick of it now and as I have to batch print sometimes with multiple documents, I have to answer this everytime a page is printed.

How do I stop it? Any ideas? I'm running Office XP on XP Home edition.

Bugger, forgot that was still on there, best change that! Ta.

Its a known compatibility error, check the HP website for the latest drivers as one has been released specifically to cure this...

Are you using the PCL or Postscript driver and have you tried switching?

Do your Word documents have embedded Postscript objects or watermarks?

Headers and footers only - no watermarks

Other than that I haven't the foggiest what you're on about.

But I feel as though I should know.

If you look at your printer driver it will say xxxx-PCL or xxxx-PS.

The PS one tends to have more problems with backgrounds!

You can also check in your print settings that there is no overlay selected.

The manual shows you how to do this...www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-to-external-url/ref=mt_mo_view_15257/002-7412835-1048837?path=http%3A//media-server.amazon.com/exec/drm/digital/moleproxy.cgi%3Fname%3DU2Ftc3VuZyBTYW1zdW5nIE1MNjA2MCBMYXNlciBQcmludGVyIE1hbnVhbA%3D%3D%26file%3DTUFOVUFMMDAwMDIxMjk4LnBkZg%3D%3D&append-uid=no
