MP3 and all that....

A friend of mine has just taken delivery of her new MP3 player and is having big problems downloading stuff.

Anyone on here had any experience of A) MP3's generally and B) Converting media docs to MP3 files. ie. Is it possible to copy CD'S onto them.....before any clever dick says it...it was off ebay and the instructions are crap.

Seems to me to be....as most new technology more hastle that its worth....Listen to me, I sound like an 80 year old.

Any advice greatly appreciated
