Sky TV & RAM Qs
Discussion
Two quickies - inlaws sick of lining Murdoch's pockets so want to cancel Sky contract. They've had their box and card for six years on the cheapest contract. If they still want to get the freeview channels, do they need to buy an old card of eBay or will their current card revert to freeview?
Also, my PC may need upgrading with regards to RAM. Hard drive capacity and all other functionality is fine. Is adding a bit more RAM easy to do (I'd get a pro to do it, obviously) - running windows 98. Would I lose anything?
Cheers peeps!

1.) Sky : AFIAK if you've got the latest digital card (yellow house on it, I think) then that should just flip over to freeview...
2.) RAM : Installing additional RAM is one of the easiest jobs you can do on a machine, as long as you have sufficient slots to fit extra into, it's just a case of slotting it in...
Whip the cover off and have a look, you'll see where the sticks are, about 5-6 inches long stood up about 3/4 inch tall.. if there's a spare slot, use it!

If you have a branded PC you could go to www.crucial.com/ and use their memory finder. Their RAM is good quality too.
