Can anyone enlighten me as to how one gets the code into the registry - under which key is it placed?

I am constantly swapping between Mozilla and 'Irrational Explorer' and since SP2 I think it has slowed down some more, so back to Firefox I go again

Aye - just made the switch; that tabbed view is rather useful...

Find the keys (all seven of the network ones already exist, at least on 0.9.3). Double click. Type in the new value.

Instructions for adding the new key are on the page Ted linked to.

Ta. It was the double click bit that fooled me.. I really should have read the instructions..

The more I use Firefox, the better it seems to get. I can see an evening of tweakage looming.

Does anyone use their "Thunderbird" email client thing?

Yep, used to use Eudora, but changed to Thunderbird and much prefer it. Simple quick and does everything I need a mail client to do.

These tips also seem to work with Mozilla, if people are using that instead.

Just installed the basic firefox on my home PC after reading this thread at work. So what should I do now, start tweaking it, or just leave it alone for a bit to get used to not being in Exploder?

I have Firefox 0.9.3 installed but appear to be havung a problem using it on Pistonheads.

I can log in ok, get the screen saying so and the continue link option, but,

- when I select the forums link I get all the forums displayed rather than the few I have selected as my "favourites".

- when I select any of the drop down options under "My Info" the system acts as if I am not logged in.

This all works ok under IE.

Anyone got any ideas.

TIA,

KJR.

As far as I can see I have allowed cookies from pistonheads.

Looking at the stored cookies I have two from pistonheads:

one called "redirect" containing "http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Epistonheads%2Ecom%2Fgassing%2Fdefault%2Easp%3Fh%3D0"

and one called "last%5Fvisit" containing "8%2F12%2F2004+10%3A19%3A13+AM".

KJR.

Edited to add that I checked under Cookies Exceptions and I had www.pistonheads.com blocked. Changed this to allow and it is now working.

Thanks for the input Bodo.
