I've begun implementing a mappable ignition system for my Tiger and will need a laptop to upload maps to the ECU. So therefore requirements are:

- Windows 98 minimum
- TFT screen (dual scan ones are just too crap)
- 9-pin serial/comm port
- robust as possible
- under £100

Obviously ebay's the most likely bet but what make should I go for?

IBM Thinkpad 560e or 560x. Very small, very robust, just make sure you get one with a working battery.

Toshiba Libretto? There seem to be some on Ebay for around £50-100. I had one a few years back as a portable work PC, funky little thing but battery life was terrible.
