More help required. Wake on LAN
Discussion
Dear Helpdesk
Until I get the printers working off the router so I can print directly I'm using one of my wired PC's as a print server. This is fine but obviously it has to be switched on to do it's stuff.
The machine has a Wake on LAN facility and I'm wondering how this works, I'm gussing I can send a command from one of the other machines on the network to start it up before I print through it?
Isn't a little knowledge dangerous!

Basically you need a WOL header on the mobo and a WOL connector on the NIC.
Then it should work.
