Completely OT but maybe someone on here can help. My long standing website pumaracing.co.uk was hosted by a friend who for whatever reason has stopped hosting it as well as deciding not to give me back the engine crane I lent him and is generally playing silly buggers and I can't be arsed with him anymore.

I'd like to at least get the technical articles back online as a resource for people and because it's easier to point someone on here with a tech problem to an article that already answers it than type it all out again from scratch.

I tried to set up a free Google website and failed miserably. I can't even work out how to upload my old web pages onto it. Old dogs and new tricks maybe.

Either A) can anyone set up this Google website for me with all my tech articles on it?

B)Recommend a better way? Another free website hosting service maybe.

C) Advise on just ditching pumaracing.co.uk for all the hassle involved in trying to get the domain back in my own name and set up something new like Pumaraceengines.co.uk with a new web host.

Easiest and free is to set up a wordpress blog style website. Very easy to set up and you can use one of the standard themes and it will look ok. wordpress.com

I would happily host the articles on my website: http://www.nurburgring.org.uk. It's Ben Lovejoy's old Nurburgring website. I tried to send you an email to ask the same a while ago.

PM me.

Did you manage to sort this? I see slinky and nsa have offered to help.

I was wondering whether you had an offline/backup version of the site or whether it was all hosted online?

For a new web site

https://www.tsohost.com/product/web-hosting £14.99 should be OK for what you want + a few quid a year for your new name

let me know if I can help

Hi Puma, this is completely unrelated but PH won't let me PM you.

I'm looking for a job in engine design. I'll graduate this summer, have experience in Motorsport etc.

Have a look at my linked in http://www.linkedin.com/pub/ben-stuart/37/215/a45 if you wouldn't mind and get in contact if you have any advise or jobs you can offer me / make me aware of. Obviously I'd be more than happy to send you a copy of my CV.

Sorry for the thread hijack!

I can help you set this up. The contents of your old website are still accessible via the Wayback Machine archive.

I don't want anything for hosting the site as there is very little real work involved. You would just have to pay for whatever domain name you chose (usually less than a £ 10 a year for a .co.uk name) The name would stay as your property so you could always move the site to a different host if you wanted to at any stage.

[You can see a snapshot of your old website's contents on the Wayback Machine archive here http://web.archive.org/web/20120217154029/http://w... its childs play to save these pages and put them up on a new website.]

I'm after a big valve head and guidence on the right cam for my Pinto engine. Please give me a shout about both topics.
