Using MSN without the program?

I'm not sure how to describe this...
I've got to spend a huge amount of time in the library today at uni, looking after some freshers
but i'm bored out of my mind. They're off on library tours etc... i just have to waste 90mins at a time then walk them back to the department. 
I can't download msn messenger due to firewalls and all that mumble jumble, are there any websites where you can use it remotely? If that makes sense?
