I cant access Hotmail through the firewall at work, which is a pain at the moment as I really do need to get at it occasionally.

Is anyone aware of any other way of accessing the site which would go around a web filter?

Here's hoping... :P

The problem with hard coded IPs in URLs is that they very quickly resolve back to the FQDN - in this case http://login.passport.net/uilogin.srf?id=2 which the firewall likely picks up on and blocks.

Might be worth trying to find a free HTTP proxy server somewhere, I've heard there are some in Canada that are trut worthy but couldn't actually give you one to use.

Likely though if your IT department are worth their salt Proxy requests will be blocked too.

They use websense if that's of any use to anyone.

IIRC it simply denies access to a list of websites, rather than filter content etc.
