hyperlinks in word

Accidently clicked a hyperlink in a word doccument and turned it purple! I've tried dying it black but it wont work!
Can I turn it back or even turn hyperlinks off?

Dont stress your ikkle face over it.

its purple simply as you have 'visited' it now.

If you REALLY want it back, just Cleary History in IE.

I know why it went purple!!! Juts cant have it coming out purple on my assignment! will try clearing IE then.

The purple is due to what the local machine has visited. If you send it to someone and they've not been on the same link, it'll be the original colour anyway.

It's just Word auto-creating hyperlinks. If you right-click the link, choose "Hyperlink" and then "Remove Hyperlink" it will change back to regular text. You can also stop it creating links automatically within the AutoCorrect options.

The purple thing, as mentioned before, is simply the default colour for a previously-visited link.
